Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport

Pickup from the Kilimanjaro Int. Airport and Transfer to Meru Mbega Lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Momella Gate to Mariakamba Hut 3,500m

Depart form Meru Mbega Lodge to park gate on the other side of the park, meet the climbing staff and start walking through the park with armed ranger using northern route, which takes 3-4 hours from the gate to Mariakamba hut. It is shorter and steeper route, though with spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Momella lakes. Wildlife along this route are buffalo, Maasai giraffe, Warthogs and Bushbuck. dinner and overnight at  Mariakamba Hut

Day 3: Mariakamba Hut to Little Meru 3,820m

Leaving Mariakamba Hut early in the morning (probably 4:00 am) winding up to Saddle Hut, approximately 3,500m; with view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Momella lakes, Meru crater, Ash cone, Mt. Meru cliff and the little Meru; Have a break for lunch and gathering momentum, and then trek to the Little Meru 3,820 m summit. After drinks and photos starts the journey back to Saddle Hut for overnight the hut

Day 4: Saddle Hut to the Summit 4,566m

Early morning (probably 03:00am) climbing towards the summit of Meru Mountain 4,566m (as an option: walking on the rim of Meru Crater) this is the place to take Photos of Mount Kilimanjaro. Back to Saddle Hut for breakfast, lunch and diner as well as overnight at the hut

Day 5: Saddle Hut Momella Gate

After stretching and relaxing your painful muscles overnight start descending after breakfast and reach Momella gate at midday, picked-up and drive to  Arusha town for dinner at Meru Mbega Lodge.
